Teachers' Month Celebration
Teachers' Month Celebration

World Teachers' Day, also known as International Teachers Day, is held annually on October 5. Established in 1994, it commemorates the signing of the 1966 UNESCO/ILO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers, which is a standard-setting instrument that addresses the status and situations of teachers around the world. World Teachers' Day aims to focus on "appreciating, assessing and improving the educators of the world" and to provide an opportunity to consider issues related to teachers and teaching.1

Adhering to the Department of Education (DepEd) memorandum No. 130, S. 2018, Christian Legacy celebrated the World Teachers' Day last Friday, October 5, 2018. The day was filled with fun, food and activities that was prepared by the students from all grade levels. The Senior High students also took the time to experience how it was like to be a teacher by taking their work load for the first hour of the day.

In addition to the celebration, Ms. Joy Muleta, Christian Legacy Directress, awarded the Faculty of the Quarter for the 1st Quarter of this Academic Year. Congratulations to Ms. Nova Paghubasan, Ms. Danielle Baribar, and Mr. Jo-Al Mejia for showing exemplary dedication and handwork through their teaching and work in Christian Legacy.

Christian Legacy is truly blessed to partner with these teachers in building the next generation of leaders.
